LOGGING INTO YOUR ONLINE LIBRARY

To access your LIRN subscription go to:

The default view for your subscription is the Subject view. You can click on the other tabs to change to Alphabetical, Simple, or Vendor View during your session.   

Searching

There is a search box near the top right of your LIRN Gateway that allows you to search across all of your LIRN-subscribed resources using LIRNSearch, our federated search service. 

 While in the Subject View, a LIRNSearch box also appears at the top of each subject area, allowing you to search just the resources listed in that subject category.

 If you click on the tile for a given resource, that resource will open up in a new tab and you will see a vendor search box. Searching within individual resources gives you options to explore content and run focused searches.

Student and Faculty Training

CBD College is provided with a Vimeo Playlist of curated research training material to help students and faculty get started with their research needs and successfully navigate and use the research databases. The LIRN Librarian service also provides orientations and other live webinars on specific subject areas.

Research Assistance and Reference Support Hours

Monday - Friday: 8AM EST to 10PM EST
Saturday - Sunday: 12PM EST to 7PM EST

For research assistance, students and faculty may contact the LIRN Librarian Team by accessing CBD College’s LIRNPortal, clicking the “Ask a Librarian” widget on the right-hand sideof the LIRNPortal, and completing a request for help from our Librarians. Depending on the inquiry/need, Librarians may follow-up with the patron via email or screen-sharing session.
