Large files in Moodle can create issues when your course is copied. To reduce the strain on the system, you can upload large files to your course's Google Drive folder and link to them in Moodle. By using the shared folder, you ensure that your program Admins and future teachers have access if necessary.
1. Log into drive.google.com with your CBD G-Suite account (youremail@my.cbd.edu)
2. In the left navigation, click Shared with me.
5. Locate your programs shared folder, called "Program Resources - [program]"
6. Inside, locate and open your Course Folder
7. Inside, locate and open the relevant week and then the corresponding learning Model section.
7. Drag and drop your file to upload it. Then, open your file and click the Share icon in the upper right
8. Be sure your settings are set to "Anyone on the internet with this link can view." If you see a different setting, click Change. Then, click copy link.
Note: be sure you do not have sharing settings set to edit.
9. Navigate to your Moodle course and turn Editing On. In the relevant section, click Add an Activity or Resource. Scroll down, select URL and click to add.
8. Name your file and paste the Google Drive link you just copied. Scroll to the bottom and click Save
