Career Services works with each student to develop a personalized career portfolio, as well as a plan for job placement. This is primarily done during professionalism and Career Development workshops facilitated by the Career Services staff. These workshops are built into the curriculum for all programs. The workshops encompass a wide variety of topics, from job success, Interview Preparation, Mock Interviews, Creating and Editing Resumes and Cover Letters, How to use and not use social media, and many more. Students will see a Career Development course populate in Moodle right before their first workshop. In the Career Development Course, the students will find lots of resources, from sample resumes to skills sheets for each program, and many more.
The Career Services team also works very closely with our students once they become graduates with assistance in job searching. These services are offered for a lifetime, and the College maintains an ongoing relationship with its graduates through a Career Services Department, regardless of the year of graduation. It is understood that while employment services may be provided, no promise or guarantee of employment can be made.
